• The PL-1640 metal working lathe is the perfect combination of size and power. This precision lathe features a 16" swing and 40" between centers and has features that will allow your shop to grow for years.
• The PL-1640 is built to Baileigh industrial’s high standards and has everything that a machine shop could want. The PL-1640 has a full cast iron base that is integrated into the main frame of the lathe, making this one of the most rigid lathes on the market. It is powered by a 7.5 hp motor and can turn rpms form 30 to 2000 through its 12 speeds. The PL-1640 metal working lathe is built to withstand years of use in any metal working shop and features precision ground and hardened ways.
• The PL-1640 comes standard with a factory installed Mitutoyo DRO (digital read out) for making precise cuts, halogen light, a three jaw chuck, steady rest and follow rest. All this in one complete package.
