• When looking for a production band saw, one must look at all the ways that the saw can save money over the current unit. Baileigh Industrial took that into consideration when designing the BS-24A automatic band saw. The BS-24A has been constructed using only industrial grade components and materials and will stand up to years of grueling service in any demanding fabrication shop or machine shop. The BS-24A is a 220 volt three phase fully automatic band saw that has an 18" round capacity at 90 degrees but can miter up to 45 degrees if it is needed. A Delta® inverter drives an industrial sized 5 hp in order to turn the massive 1-1/2" blade. The inverter allows the operator to adjust speed “on the fly" from 65 to 279 feet per minute. This adjustment saves blade life as well as increases the quality of the cut.
• Being an automatic band saw the BS-24A is at home cutting a single piece of material or complete bundles with its heavy duty hydraulic bundling device that also acts as the feed system. The feed system that is uses encoders for precise material placement. Operation of the BS-24A is very simple and uses a mix of standard control knobs and buttons as well as a user friendly touch screen programmer. The programmer lets the operator input things like cut lengths, number of cuts, and allows different settings for each program. The standard controls are for changing things like bow height, descent and blade speed. The BS-24A can be run in automatic and manual modes as well.
